First Day of Summer!
On the first day of summer, I walked thru the front "door" of my new studio and out the back. What a thrill! Someday soon we will be hosting workshops and meeting new friends.
Here's the view from the back of the studio. One day there will be a patio here, where we will make paper, hang dyed fabric, and enjoy the moment. Can't wait to see what folks will make!
Nearby I spotted these Sandhill Cranes. This adult was escorting a single chick, and only yards away another adult was with another chick. We have at least 6 breeding pairs in the area. Sandhill cranes can live for 20 years, start breeding somewhere between 2 and 6 years old, and mate for life.
